Our founder, Shana, provided bookkeeping services for a network of public CPAs for 10 years, serving clients across a wide range of industries. So we’ll give your CPA exactly what they need, and help you streamline processes to free up time and money.
We’re also approachable and responsive! We meet you where you are, communicate in lay terms why and how we’re doing things a certain way (so you’re always in the driver’s seat), and tailor services to your comfort level. And we’ll never leave you hanging… all emails are answered within one business day!
Not if you have Mosaic! We can provide the flexible support you need as your business grows and changes. Stay on top of your numbers, without the added expenses (full salary, benefits, and payroll taxes) of an in-house bookkeeper!
Yes! Mosaic provides virtual bookkeeping for small businesses anywhere in the US. We can take care of everything online, even if we can’t meet in person!
No, Mosaic works exclusively with small businesses.
We offer bookkeeping cleanup service, monthly bookkeeping service, payroll and compliance, and some special consulting and bookkeeping projects, depending on your needs. Mosaic does NOT offer income tax services, but we can refer you to a great CPA from our network to help you with those. See our Services page for more details.

We use QuickBooks Online for all our bookkeeping services. If you’re not already using QBO, we can help you onboard so we can work together. We also use Bill.com as a third-party bill pay site if needed; and AppFolio property management software, for property managers and rental property businesses.
We fully tailor the reports and frequency you need based on our consultation, to make sure you always have a clear picture of your financials. We generally provide a monthly P&L with our subscription bookkeeping service, and can add recurring reports on inventory, sales, and whatever else you need to monitor.
QuickBooks Online has its own robust security features. You’ll add us as a separate user in your QBO with “Accountant” access. All invoices and payments are processed securely through our QBO, so we never handle your payment account information.
We also use an encrypted and HIPAA-compliant file sharing platform, Verifyle. And you’ll add us as a third-party, read-only user on your bank accounts, so we can grab statements and check copies without being able to make changes to your account.
Because each client’s situation is so unique, we’ll discuss your needs at the initial consultation, and customize your cleanup and onboarding process accordingly. We’ll walk you through every step!
All our services are tailored to efficiently meet your exact needs, with a customized quote to match. Based on factors like transaction volume and the current state of your books, we’ll quote a fixed retainer or project rate that eliminates surprise charges.

Bookkeeping services pricing for small business will vary widely, with a bookkeeper’s experience and certifications, the scope of services you need, and other factors. Make sure you check the flexibility of their packages against what you really need!
Yes. You need both bookkeeping and tax services for small business, and CPAs need error-free reports to do your accounting and taxes effectively. Some CPAs do have bookkeepers on staff, but their rates may be higher than an independent bookkeeper. So it’s worth shopping around for a bookkeeper who works well with CPAs – like Mosaic!
We’re happy to refer you to a great CPA from our network! If you’re not there yet, and want to continue filing your own taxes for now, we’ll still give you clean books and reports that you can use when you file.
